From Blueprints to Footprints: The Journey of DarkSoles
Hi. The name's Erm. An architect by day and the artist / creative mind behind DarkSoles by night.
DarkSoles, like most of my other creative endeavors, evolved as a way for me to create cool customized shoes for myself. The endeavor expanded to include friends and family once they saw the products and wanted their own.
The vision behind DarkSoles is clear: to create a line of custom canvas shoes that are as much a work of art as they are a fashion statement.
Every pair of DarkSoles is a canvas that tells a story. The designs are a testament to my architectural roots, featuring intricate geometries that are both timeless and modern. The choice of mostly black and white (sometimes colors for special editions) is deliberate, a nod to the classic and the contemporary, the simple and the complex. These colors, often the starting point of architectural plans, are transformed into bold statements on the canvas of each shoe.
